The 3 DOORS of Celebrate Recovery Large Group, Small Group and 12 Step Studies
Door 1Large Group Saturday 7 PM to 8 PMIn the Sanctuary
Large group is when we all come together, both Men and women to praise God in music. We read the 12 steps and their biblical comparisons along with hearing the announcements for that week. Then alternating each week between a lesson on one of the steps or a testimony and finishing up with the prayer for serenity and an offering.
Door 2Small Share Groups Saturday 8 PM to 9 PM
After large group we transition into small share groups which are gender specific. In these groups we share on ourselves or on how you related to the focus question from the lesson or how you related to the testimony that evening. “Please honor the small group guidelines.”
If it is your first time at CR we have the new comers meeting during this time for your first visit. In the new comers meeting we will go over what a hurt, habit, or hang-up is and what the CR ministry is about and how it can help you. We will also answer any questions you may have about Celebrate Recovery. Visit our web site at www. CelebrateRecoveryLongmont.org for specific information on hurts, habits, and hang-ups or pick up one of the brochures at the meeting.
Door 3Step Study GroupsTuesday 7PM - 9 PMChildcare provided
Step study groups are gender specific and can also be issue specific. Step study groups are held on a different night of the week from the large group and share groups. Our main nights for step study groups are Tuesdays as we have childcare available on this night for CR participants. Step study groups can meet on other nights of the week if needed. Each step study group will meet together for up to one year as they work through the four participants workbooks. The workbooks help you work through all twelve steps and eight principles based on the Beatitudes. You must sign-up to join a step study and as a group finishes the first participant’s workbook that group can on longer accept new participants. You can sign-up any time to join a step study, so see you share group leaders for more details. Remember it is through working the step and Jesus Christ that we find the healing and freedom from our Hurts, Habits and Hang ups.
Celebrate Recovery Groups Can:
· Provide you a safe place to share your experience, strengths, and hope with others that are also going through a Christ-centered recovery. · Provide you with a leader who has gone through a similar hurt, habit or hang-up and who will facilitate the group as it focuses on a particular lesson on a Step or an focus question. · The leader will also help the group follow The Celebrate Recovery’s “Small Group Guide-lines”. · Encourage you in your recovery and encourage you to attend CR meetings, Share groups, and Step studies throughout the week.
Celebrate Recovery Groups Will Not:
· Attempt to offer any professional advice, our leaders are not counselors. Upon your request, we can provide you with a list of approved counseling referrals. · Allow its members to attempt to “fix” one another.
